Jeffrey R. Driggs

Jeffrey Russell Driggs, 58, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, surrounded by love in the home he grew up in, left all the worries of this world to meet his Lord and Savior, along with those he loved who have gone before.

  He was born to James I. and Margaret E. (Kohn) Driggs on December 1, 1965. One of six siblings, he grew up knowing “his people” loved him unconditionally.

  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Brittany Driggs of Milton, Florida, son Evan Driggs of Charlotte, North Carolina and daughter, Alayna Driggs of Orlando, Florida.

  Also surviving are siblings, James and Shelley Driggs, Jill and Mike Bowers, both of Chillicothe, Joy and Jay Schankman, of Kingston, JoAnna and Jamie Taylor of Jeffersonville, Ohio, and sister-in-law Cyndy Driggs of Chillicothe, numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Jeff.

  He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Jerry Driggs.

  Jeff graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky with a degree in Psychology. He was a divisional vice president for Bon-Ton Stores. He was an avid Ohio State football and Cincinnati Reds fan.

  Jeff overcame many struggles throughout his life, leading him to become a strong, confident man. Jeff was loved for his kindness and gentle spirit and will be missed by all who loved him.

  The family would like to thank Adena Regional Medical Center and Adena Hospice, who walked with us on Jeff’s journey and always gave him the absolute best of care, expressed with every touch.

  Services will be held Tuesday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Tony Lambert officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston, Ohio.

  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Adena Hospice.
