Jeffrey S. Dickey, 56, of Clarksburg, passed 7:02 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital-Southeast, Newark, OH following a brief illness.
He was born June 16, 1966 in Chillicothe to Ralph S. Sr. and Judith Echard Dickey.
Surviving are his father, Ralph W. Dickey Sr, of Clarksburg; a brother, Ralph W. “Chip” Dickey, Jr. of Clarksburg; an uncle; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Judith Echard Dickey and a sister, Kathie Dickey.
Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Adena High School. He worked at Adena Regional Medical Center’s Billing Department. As a young adult, Jeff participated in and won numerous medals in the Ohio Wheelchair Sports Association’s Wheelchair Games. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Ohio State Buckeye sports fan. Throughout his time on Earth, Jeff displayed much resilience and courage in dealing with his life circumstances. He was very much at peace at his time of death.
Funeral services will 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
