Jill Ann Plessinger Thompson, 64, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, September 23, 2019 following a brief and sudden illness.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Erma Plessinger; a brother, Michael “MicK” Plessinger and her husband, William “Doc” Thompson.
She is survived by a son, Patrick Jospeh “PJ” Thompson; a grandson, JoJo Thompson and JoJo’s mother, Sabrina Story, all of Indiana; two nephews, Darren (Kayce) Plessinger, of Pataskala and Daniel (Mindy) Plessinger, of Chillicothe; great-nieces, Alex (Evan) Deaton, Addy Plessinger, Danielle Smith, Emmi (Josh) Zeisler and Renee “Happy” Good; great-nephews, Ollie (Brooke) Parker, Benny and Quincy Plessinger and a great-great-niece, Jossy Parker. Jill leaves behind many friends from Lebanon, Ohio, Franklin, Tennessee, and Morrow, Chillicothe and Waverly, Ohio as well as a host of friends from the online community.
Jill graduated from Lebanon High School in 1973. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Ohio University and was a PhD candidate. She was an advocate for the deaf community, an active participant in the theater, enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridgehaven, 109 W. Second St, Waverly, OH 45690. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
