John R. Farmer, Sr.

John R. Farmer, Sr. 63, of Chillicothe passed 8:55 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

He was born September 24, 1961 in Chillicothe to John W. Jr. and Betty J. Gallaugher Farmer.  In 1998 he married Gloria E. Downing who survives.

Also surviving are son, John R. Farmer, Jr., of Chillicothe; step-sons, Chris Bode, Scott (Julie) Bode, both of Chillicothe and Dwayne (Rhonda) Bode, of Columbus; several grandchildren; brother, Tim (Jana) Farmer, of Chillicothe; sister, Jeanie (Donnie) Ross, of Chillicothe; several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Farmer and brother, Larry Farmer.

John retired from Cooper Glass.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 in Greenlawn Cemetery with his nephew, Michael Birchfield officiating.  Visitation will be held at WARE FUNERAL HOME 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 13.
