John William "Johnny" aka JJ Starr

John William “Johnny” Starr, aka JJ, age 61, of Dry Run Road Chillicothe passed late Sunday night on May 3, 2026.

     John was born to Robert E. Starr, Sr. and Dorothy A. (Mercer) Starr on December 19, 1964, the youngest of five siblings.  John attended Bishop Flaget Christian academy until his junior year where he graduated from Mr. Miller’s welding class at Pickaway Ross.  John had worked for Pickaway Machine and Fabricating for over 30 years.  In that time, John had become a favorite among the local farming community for his work and repairs.

     John is survived by daughter, Andrea Lynn (Thomas) Lewis and son, Jonathon Michael Starr; sister, Judy Jones; and a brother, Phil (Brenda) Starr.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert E. “Bobby” Starr, Jr. and a sister, Sue Starr.

     In keeping with his wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  The day and time for the service will be announced on his and other family’s Facebook pages.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
