Jon M. Leatherwood

Jon M. Leatherwood, 87, of Chillicothe, passed 2:34 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Traditions of Chillicothe.

     He was born February 8, 1937 in Ross County to the late Harry and Imogene Miller Leatherwood. 

     Surviving are “a special sister”, Jeannie Dowler, of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Young Ja Leatherwood, of Korea; aunt, Reba Kelley, of Tarlton; many cousins, including, Ivan Reed, of Mt. Sterling and Ned Reed, of Columbus, who visited him often. He was predeceased by a brother, Joe E. Leatherwood; aunt, Marie “Bea” Reed; niece, Penny Leatherwood Crosby.

     Jon was an avid sports fan of the Chillicothe Cavaliers, Chillicothe Paints, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Jerry French officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10.
