Jon B. Timmons

    A memorial visitation will be held Friday, January 31,2025 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home,in Spencer WV. There will be no funeral or graveside services.

         Jon B. Timmons, 87, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:03 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at his residence unexpectedly.

     He was born October 18, 1937, in Ross County, Ohio, to the late John and Jeanne C. Baucus Timmons.  On April 14, 1979, he married the former Mary F. Knapp who survives. 

     Also surviving a sister, Sharon Boyce and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, David Timmons and Gary Timmons.

     Jon was a United States Marine Corps veteran.  He retired from CSX Railroad where he had worked as an Engineer.  Jon enjoyed shooting trap and golfing.       

     Funeral services will be held at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV.  The times will be announced on our website once they are known.  The family was helped locally by the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
