Joshua Levi Hughes, 37, of Ray, died 11:30 p.m. unexpectedly, Sunday, June 26, 2022 in University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
He was born September, 15, 1984 in Chillicothe to Jeffrey L. and Deborah S. Jenkins Hughes.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Jeffrey and Patty Hughes, of Ray; a son, Cylas H. Hughes, of Aberdeen; stepchildren, Allye Rosselot, and Braylan Thigpen; a sister, Tristin (John) Nelson, of Albany; a brother, Joey L. Hughes, of Bainbridge; stepsiblings, Mandy (Chad) Pratt, Cora (Greg Schauer) Pelfrey and Boone (Sara) Pelfrey grandmother, Blanche Hughes, of Chillicothe; a special niece and friend, Madisyn S. Hughes, of Ray, a niece, Zoey Hughes, of Winchester; and many other nieces and nephews; numerous aunts and uncles who he loved dearly; a special friend, Jessika Taylor and fiance’, Martin Plymesser. He was predeceased by his mother, Deborah Hughes; grandfather, Ervin Hughes; and an uncle, Bruce Hughes.
Joshua was owner of Historical Plaster and was a member of OPCMIA Local 132.
In lieu of flowers, family requests, memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home, 121 W. 2nd St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
