Joyce Eleanor Andrews

Joyce Eleanor Andrews, 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Monday December 29, 2025. She was born October 7, 1937 in Chillicothe to the late Virgil F. and Ruby B. (Kellough) Rinehart.

     Surviving is her daughter, Karis (Steve) Spence, sons, Scott (Julie) Andrews, Tom (Heather) Andrews; nephew, Lou (Betsy) Myers; grandchildren, Lexie Spence, Stephanie Spence, Ben Andrews, Matthew Andrews, and Aiden Andrews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Virgil W. Rinehart, sister Joan Myers, daughter Kristen Andrews, and her husband of 53 years Raymond Andrews.

     Joyce retired from VA Hospitals in Chillicothe where she worked as a Contract Specialist.  She was previously employed by the Chillicothe Board of Education and the Mead Corporation. Following retirement, Joyce was active in her community as a member of DAR and Altrusa International. She found great joy in taking care of and giving back to others.

     Joyce had many qualities that will be greatly missed. She had a knack for connecting with each person she encountered, and ensured they felt known and seen. Her family is grateful she shared her love of cooking, baking, card games, and reading; through her actions, her love was felt by all.

     The family wishes to thank the staff at Story Point of Powell, OH for all their wonderful care and support.

     A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Tad Grover officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday.
