June Gray Lambert, 90, of Chillicothe, passed 3:45 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 in National Church Residences, Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
She was born March 18, 1932, in Ross County, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Georgia Mae Hall Stumbo. On September 21, 1948, she married Paul Richard Gray her husband of 38 years, who passed November 16, 1986.
Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Clyde Lambert, of Chillicothe; a son, Mark (Mary) Gray, of Chillicothe; a son-in-law, Michael Hupp, of Ashville; grandchildren, Shannon (Eric) Snyder, of Chillicothe, Heidi (Alex Nelson) Gray, of Chillicothe, Bethanie (Shayne) Combs, of Chillicothe, Mark Gray, of Columbus, Brent (Amy) Coleman, of Chillicothe, Brooke Coleman, of Cleveland, and Brittany (Jonathon) Ison, of Ashville; great grandchildren, Lydia Alexander, Jillian Snyder, Gavin Snyder, Junia Ison, Julian Ison, Emily Coleman, Trevor Gray, Sophia Coleman, Mason Dyer, Seanna Spriggs, Anthony Boden, Steven Boden, Cecilia Zavala and Daniel Zavala; a sister, Patti Crites, of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie Hupp; a son, Randy Gray; sisters, Jessie Neff, Josephine Hardman, Darlene Richendollar, Hannah Bixler, Donna Moss, Nancy Bayse and Jan Wood; and brothers, Greenville Stumbo, Fred Stumbo and Bob Stumbo.
June was a member of Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene for many years where she had taught Sunday School, had served as Missionary President, was a member of the Church Board, sang in the Choir and had served numerous times as the Bible School Director.
June will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Everyone who knew her, loved her.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with her granddaughter, Brittany Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
