June Carvel Johnson Obituary

     June Carvel Johnson, passed away on January 11, 2022.  She was born on September 28, 1936, to Robert and Virginia Schaefer Carvel, in Dayton, OH. She spent most of her life as a high school teacher, teaching English and choir.  She taught 25 yrs. at Wm. V. Fisher Catholic H.S. in Lancaster, OH, and completed her teaching career at East Clinton H.S. in Lees Creek, OH.  She was a member of the Retired Teachers of the Columbus Diocese, and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.

     An accomplished pianist and organist, she played for many churches in Lancaster, Bremen, and Wilmington, OH.  She also was a member of the bell choir.

     She was predeceased by her loving husband, Raphael E. Johnson, and her brother, Rod Carvel. 

     She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Findley, and son, James (Lynette) Johnson.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Zubair (Lori) Bujazia, Anissa Bujazia, and Zack (Jessica) Bujazia; three great-grandchildren, Adriana, Reese, and Jack Bujazia; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A brief service for the immediate family will be held on Tues, January 18, 2022, in the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, OH, with Fr. Jeff Rimelspach officiating.  Burial to follow in Grandview Cemetery. 

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Wm. V. Fisher Catholic H.S., or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
