Kaleb Lee Thornton, 37, of Chillicothe, passed away 5:07 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and favorite caregiver, Steve Hill.
He was born January 16, 1988, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Janet E. (Glatting) Thornton and the late Kevin Thornton.
In addition to his mother, surviving are a sister, Lacey (Caleb) Knight; nephews, Cruz and Jett Knight; aunts and uncles, Judy Francis, Terry (Beth) Glatting, Debra Peoples, and Bryon (Chris) Thornton; numerous cousins including a special cousins, Billie Jo Neff and Beth and Carl Styers; and maternal grandmother, Jean Glatting. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Barbara and Carroll Thornton; maternal grandfather, Thomas Glatting; an uncle, Duane Francis; and a cousin, Kandi Althouse.
Kaleb was born with a spirit unmatched to any other human on earth. At a young age, he was diagnosed with autism and consistently faced every challenge and barrier head on and with the fiercest fight. His favorite things in this world were car rides, basketball, bowling, and food. Whether intended or not, Kaleb’s presence made this world a better place and his absence will impact many.
Kaleb graduated from Pioneer School and worked and attended First Capital Enterprises. He was an avid OSU Buckeye fan. Please honor Kaleb by wearing OSU Buckeye clothing or anything scarlet and gray to his funeral service. Kaleb gave the gift of life through organ donation.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Jim Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
