Karen S. Johnson

     Karen S. Johnson, 73, of Greenfield, passed at 1:02 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

     She was born March 26, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Faye E. Jones. 

     Surviving are daughters Angel (Scott) Long and Shawna (Donald) Rapp, both of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Karina Johnson, Ralph Dustin Hawk, Dakota Ryan Woodgeard, Autumn Rapp and Keara Johnson; many great grandchildren; half brother, Jim (Jean) Terry, of Michigan; step brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Clary, of Londonderry and Donald (Shirley) Clary, of Michigan; and special friends, Shawna and Harold Ott, of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by her mother and step father, Faye E. and Ralph Clary.

     Karen retired from the Chillicothe VAMC.  Karen loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed crocheting and shopping.

     The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staffs of Greenfield Skilled Nursing, Adena Palliative Care and Adena ICU. 

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. James Vandagriff officiating.  Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
