Karla J. Stewart

     Karla J. Stewart, 62, of Lancaster, formerly of Chillicothe, passed at 8:36 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

     She was born February 12, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Howard and Violet Marie Mowery Spencer.

      Surviving are sons, James (Sandra) Withrow, of Lancaster and Dillon Spindler, of Kingston; 5 grandchildren, including, Daniel Earl Atwood, James A. Withrow IV, James Mitchell Gamble and Xavier “X” Spindler; brothers, Hank (Kimmy) Spencer, of Chillicothe; a special aunt, Betty Betts, of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Gabby Jones; and her faithful companion, her turtle, Adolf.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Stewart; a son, Willie Spencer; and brothers, Tim Clemmons and Gary Spencer.

     Karla had worked as a Nurses Aide at Westmoreland Place and had also worked as a Bar Tender at the Owl Tavern and Hiawatha Inn.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, Ohio from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
