Keith E. Jacobs

Keith E. Jacobs, 83, of Chillicothe passed 8 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Vineyards at Concord.

     He was born June 25, 1941 in Leon, West Virginia to Floyd and Trullia Keefer Jacobs.

     Surviving are daughters, Tammy Zickafoose, of Chillicothe, Kim Jacobs, of Athens and Nancy (Greg) Deal, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Drew (Janna) Zickafoose, Derek (Carrie) Scharenberg, Krista Zickafoose, Audra (Jay) Zickafoose, Seth (Yanice Wong) Scharenberg, Marisa (Jose) Hernandez, Kyle (Lauren) Deal and Kara (Andrew) Woods; 23 great grandchildren, sisters, Ruth (Darrell) Johnson and Vonda Vincent, both of Chillicothe; numerous nephews and nieces; and his loving pet Cricket.  He was predeceased by father, Floyd Jacobs; mother and step-father, Trullia and Elijah “Zack” Grubb; brothers, Jack, Floyd Jr. “Doodle,”  and Bob Jacobs; and half-brother, David Keefer.

     Keith retired from American Electric Power.  He was a member of Scioto Lodge #6 F&AM, former member of Huntington Local School Board serving as board president.  Keith was an avid bird watcher who loved spending time outdoors.  He fulfilled a life-long dream of visiting all 50 states as well as Canada, Mexico and Europe.

     Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation is 11 a.m. -1 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday.  A Masonic service will be held at 12:50 p.m.
