Landon "Jake" G. Workman

Landon G. “Jake” Workman, 56, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. 

     He was born December 2, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Herbert H. Sr. and Nancy A. McGuire Workman.  On August 29, 2015, he married the former Kelly L. McKitrick who survives. 

     Also surviving are children, Karissa Workman, of Chillicothe, Kayleigh (Layne) Humphrey, of Chillicothe, Tyler (Breanna) Workman, of Waverly, Jennifer (Robert) Bellomy, of Columbus and Casey (Taylor) Guilliams, of Blackstone, MA; grandchildren, Brookelyn, Ella, Gabby, Grayson, Tegan, Ryder, Raelynn, Noah, Talon, Rory, Lucas, Paislee, Ryleigh, Charlie, and Rhett; a brother, Herbert H. “Bud” Workman, Jr., of Londonderry; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Chase (Miranda) Workman.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hunt and a niece, Janette Patterson; and an infant brother, Jesse J. Workman.

     Landon had worked as a Salesman for Frito Lay.  He loved to hunt, fish and bird watching.  He especially enjoyed watching Purple Martins.   

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dane Knapp officiating.  Burial will follow in Boblett Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to his funeral service on Tuesday.
