Larry A. French Obituary

Larry A. French, 85, of Chillicothe, passed 1:49 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born June 13, 1937, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles W. and Dorothy E. Manson.  On July 25, 1980, he married the former Nina Grady who survives. 

Also surviving are children, Teresa (Greg) Sparks, of Chillicothe, Timothy (Julia) French, of Pennsylvania, Scott Mathias Sutherland, of Chillicothe, Heather (Will) VanSickle, of South Salem, John (Jennifer) Sutherland, of Deland, FL and Matthew “Grady” (Amanda) Sutherland, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Christina, Rylie, Brynlie and Aynslie French, Aaren, Kyle and Conner Haines, Kali Kight, Ashley, Abigail, Ava, Anna, and Amelia Sutherland, Lauren Ragland, Addison Sutherland and Brianna Mathias; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Jerry) Beasley, of Middletown, OH and Ginny (Roger) Leist, of Circleville; a brother, Douglas (Jenise) French, of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his fishing buddy, Gene Simeral.

Larry served in the United States Army.  In 1980, Larry retired from Mead Paper and he has also worked as a car salesman at Nourse Automall.

A graveside service will be held at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 in St. Margaret Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Jason T. Link officiating.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
