Larry Glendon Leasure

     Larry Glendon Leasure, (81), of Sunbury, Ohio suffered a brief illness and passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on October 25th, 2023 surrounded by family.

     Larry was preceded in death by his parents Marion Lee (O’Dell) Leasure and Forrest Leasure. Born on July 9, 1942 in Richmond Dale, Ohio. Larry is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Mary (Uhrig) Leasure, and by his daughter and son-in-law, Amy & Alan Bumpus, and their children, Wesley (25) and Ethan (23).

     He attended the Ohio State School of Barber Styling and was a talented barber for 62 years. He loved the time he spent with his clients. Larry enjoyed being outside and gardening, he grew beautiful flowers and wonderful vegetables. He was proud of his service with the US Army Reserves.  

     Larry was an amazing Granddad, Father, and Husband; these were truly his beloved roles. He was a Donald Duck and history enthusiast, and he loved his trips to Disney World with his grandchildren. He was a funny guy, quick with joke, and was a very caring man who positively impacted everyone he met. Larry will be truly missed. 

     Larry’s family will host visitation and service at WARE FUNERAL HOME in Chillicothe, Ohio on October 29th, 2023 with Paul Minney, Minister, officiating; visitation from 12-2pm with a service at 2pm, and burial to follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Following the burial, the family will gather at the Postmark 105 S. Paint Street Chillicothe, Ohio.  They would certainly appreciate the presence of any friends who wish to join them there.
