Leah N. Briggs, 27, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:58 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.
She was born April 23, 1997, in Fayette County, to Jennifer Briggs and Ronald Walters, both of Chillicothe.
In addition to her mother and father, surviving are her sisters, Aleisha Briggs, of Chillicothe; maternal grandmother, Velma Deming, of Frankfort; paternal grandmother, Judy Walters, of Monroe, UT; several aunts and uncles including, Sheri (James “JT”) Moccabee, of Frankfort, Bill (Michelle) Morton, of Chillicothe, Teresa (David) Waugh, of Frankfort, Scott Morton, of Circleville, and Jonathon (Erin) Briggs, of Frankfort; 3 great aunts; 2 great uncles; many cousins; and a host of friends, including special friends, Alex, Brittany, Adrie and Harley. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph Briggs; paternal grandfather, Ray Walters; and an uncle, Billy Walters.
Leah worked at Steak’n Shake in Chillicothe several years. She attended Open Door Church and had recently given her heart to the Lord. Leah’s bubbly personality and beautiful smile will be missed by all her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024 in Open Door Church with Pastor Mark Pfeifer officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help with the funeral.
