Lena B. "Bonnie" Shepherd

Lena B. “Bonnie” Shepherd, 91, of Chillicothe, passed at 3:07 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

     She was born February 10, 1934, in Ray, Ohio, to the late John and Melda Cyrus Hill.  On July 10, 1955, she married Glenwood M. Shepherd who passed November 15, 2005.

     Surviving are daughters, Danita (Beth) Shepherd, of Columbus and Crystal (George) Bliss, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Nicole (Tom) Randall, of Columbus, Nathan Cahill, of Chillicothe and Joshua (Jessica) Lewis, of Waverly; great-grandchildren, Keela Cahill, Kasen Cahill, Shepherd Randall, Jaycee Lewis, and Jarrett Lewis; step-grandchildren, Carla Mascara, Catherine Gilbert and Susan Bliss; a step-great-grandchild, Jessyca Mascara; a brother, Richard (Wanda) Hill, of Stoutsville; a sister, Gloria Jean (Glenn) Wiseman, of Chillicothe; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by an infant grandson, Jason; brothers, William, Stanley, and Jerry Hill.

     Lena was a graduate of Allensville High School.  She was a member of the Richmond Dale Church of God.  Lena enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for wedding and birthdays for friends and relatives.   

     A graveside service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Londonderry Cemetery with Pastor John Evans Sr. officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
