Loren K. McGuire Obituary

     Loren Kyle McGuire, 81, of Chillicothe, died 12:40 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 surrounded by his family.

     He was born March 24, 1940, in Chillicothe, to the late Alvin Fleet and Virginia Springer McGuire. He married the former Mary Edna Kern, who survives.

     Also surviving are children, Cindy Jean, Loren Eugene, Maria Louise, Erika Noel, Fr. Charles James and Christopher Kyle; 20 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Long, and Sue (Kenny) Wipert, both of Chillicothe; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Ashley Anne; brothers, Don, Ron, Bob and Phillip; and a sister, Robin.

     Loren, a U.S. Army Veteran, served in Korea on the D.M.Z. as a Cav Scout and Communications Specialist.  He was a member of the St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church and retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a nursing assistant.

    A Wake will be held at St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church in West Chester, Ohio, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a rosary service at 11 a.m. followed by a Requiem High Mass at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 with Fr. Charles J. McGuire, Celebrant. Burial will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m. in St. Margaret Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
