Obituary

     Louise “Weezie” Jones, 92, of Chillicothe, passed 12:03 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Pickaway Manor following an extended illness.

     She was born June 16, 1931, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Bud Sr. and Mary M. Lacy Eldridge.  On January 6, 1979, she married Kenneth E. Jones who passed April 16, 2004. 

     Surviving are children, Patricia Joan (Straud) Knisley, of Circleville, Michael Leroy (Denise) Wrights, of Brookhaven, GA and Karen Holt, of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

     Louise worked at F. W. Woolworth Co. for over 27 years.  She was an avid painter, reader and a writer.  Louise also enjoyed finishing dry wall.  She was a member of American Legion Post 62 Auxiliary and the Ross County Coalition Against Child Abuse. 

     A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
