Lucinda K. “Cindy” Immell, 82, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:03 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
She was born June 14, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late John G. and Helen E. Nichols Carmean. On June 15, 1957, she married Ralph M. Immell who passed January 1, 2014.
Surviving are a son, David A. Immell (Cynthia Souders), of Chillicothe; daughters, Cherri L. Barch Marshall, of Chillicothe and Jane E. McAfee (Bruce McAfee), of Kingston; grandchildren, Rodger Allen Barch (Brittany Fancher), of Reynoldsburg, Ashley Elizabeth McAfee (Thomas Napier), of Circleville, and Chloe Elizabeth Immell (Devin Adams), of Chillicothe; a great granddaughter, Paisley Marie Barch; a sister, Emily Ann Jarrett, of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and her constant companion, her dog Toby. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George D. and Edna M. Immell; a brother-in-law, Harold E. Immell; a sister-in-law, Ellen L. Wisecup; a grandson, Chauncey A. Immell; and a son-in-law, Raymond A. Barch.
Cindy was a 1957 graduate of Chillicothe High School and was a member of Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church. In 1999, she retired from Pickaway Ross Career and Technology Center where she had worked as a cook. Cindy was a member of Chillicothe O.E.S. Chapter 419 and had worked as a volunteer at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
