Lynee Lea Moody

     Lynee Lea “Blue Grandma” Moody, 81, of Chillicothe, passed at 11:17 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly. 

     She was born January 24, 1944, in Columbus, Indiana to the late Lee and Francis “Rip” Harrington Carnes. 

     Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cindy Moody; grandsons, Ashten and Seth Moody, all of Chillicothe; cousins, Dawn Horn and Lisa Jo Gatesy, both of Columbus; a nephew, Dereck Fields, of Fort Wayne, IN; a niece, Amber Fields Groves, of Indianapolis, IN; and great nephews, Blake and Carson Fields, both of Columbus, IN.  She was predeceased by a sister, Dana Fields. 

     Lynee received her Masters in Special Education from the Adams State College and went on to teach for many years in that field.  She had also worked as a Q.M.R.P. for the State of Indiana.  Lynee was a member of The Way Ministries.  She was a lover of all of God’s children, great or small.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. 

     A graveside service will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Grandview Cemetery with Pastor Tony Lambert officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
