Margaret J Hay

Margaret J. Hay, 91, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by her loving family, at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

     She was born March 23, 1933, in Blanchester to the late Clee and Ethel Kinney Weaver.  On March 20, 1951, she married Alfred B. “Britt” Hay who passed on March 7, 2008. 

     Surviving are daughters, Sandra Roberts, of Frankfort and Pamela (Robert) Newland, of Frankfort; sons, Ricky (Karen) Hay, of Chillicothe and Steve Hay, of Wellston; grandchildren, Jamie (Amy) Newland, Regina (Eric) Ogier, Jason (Kristen) Newland, Tommy Roberts, Shannon Burt, David (Jelynne) Hay, Kristi (Luke Speakman) Hay and Kevin (Sarah Stirewalt) Hay; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Megan, Jay, Anna, Phillip, Britt, Brock, Elijah, Jacob, Aiden and Aubrey; and great great grandchildren, Isabella, Hayden, Drew and Kiyah.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by; a great granddaughter, Regan Burt; 7 brothers; and 6 sisters.

     Mrs. Hay was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at Enterprise Baptist Church on Straight Creek Road in Beaver, Ohio.  Margaret was a homemaker and grandma to her family and many neighbors.

     Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Henry Ward and Pastor Shane Browning officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.  Visitation will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
