Margaret L. Cassel

     Margaret L. Cassel, 85, of Chillicothe, died 3:25 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

     She was born November 28, 1935, in Greenville, SC, to the late Leroy and Edna E. Duckworth Sweet.  On March 7, 1981, she married David Cassel, Jr. who died April 24, 2020.

     Surviving are children, David L. (Michele) Duckworth, Lori A. (Richard) Hunter, Anita Lynn Cassel-Newman and Michael D. (Lisa) Cassel, all of Chillicothe; a daughter-in-law, Kathy L. Duckworth, of Chillicothe; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Thomas W. Duckworth, Jr. and brothers, John M. Sweet and Jerry Sweet.  

     Margaret had worked at General Electric in Circleville and the former Louie Geno’s in Jackson.

     The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU and Palliative Care Staffs at Adena Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care given to our mom and compassion shown to our family during this time.

     A funeral service will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.  A private burial will be held in Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
