Marguerite "Minnie" Arbaugh

     Marguerite “Minnie” Arbaugh, 103, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully in her sleep at 2:51 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at the home of her daughter where she had lived for the past four and a half years. 

     She was born May 30, 1922, in Parkersburg, WV, to the late Carl and Cloe Ruble Nelson.  On December 30, 1944, she married Donald M. Arbaugh who passed October 25, 1999. 

     Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald J. “Sonny” and Kathy Arbaugh, of Arizona; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Garry Mick, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Welch, of Texas, Adam Mick, of Chillicothe and Gregory Arbaugh, of Chillicothe; step grandchildren, Michael Stewart, of Circleville and Susan (Kevin) Thomas, of Circleville;  great grandchildren, Rylee Mick, Luken Mick and Adelaide Welch; brothers, Carl (Shirley) Nelson, Jr. and Robert Nelson, both of Parkersburg, WV; a sister, JoAnne Buskirk, of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Shannon Gutierrez and Audrey Gutierrez.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Mary Jane and Sharon.

     Minnie was a member of First Wesleyan Church.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 419 for many years and was also a member of the Martha Rebecca Lodge. 

     An Eastern Star service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday February 5, 2026 followed by her funeral service officiated by Pastor B. Jay Dailey.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
