Marvin E Penwell

     Marvin E. Penwell, 77, of Buckeye Lake, passed at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

     He was born February 1, 1948 in Washington Court House, Ohio to the late Emerson and Ann Daniel Penwell.

     Surviving are his sister, Marcia Eyre, of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Seitz, of Chillicothe; nieces, Rhonda (Ken) Shelton and Robin (Bob) Vogel; nephews, Jeremy (Chrissy) Eyre and Justin (Amy) Eyre; 7 great nieces and great nephews; and 5 great great nieces and great great nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Seitz; and a half-brother, Earl Penwell.

     Over the years he enjoyed playing softball, bowling, throwing darts and going to church.  Marvin was a retired cook at Marriott.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Sam Lore officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
