Mary Veronica Schoenholtz

     Mary Veronica Theobald Schoenholtz born June 28th, 1925 died November 23, 2022 at the age of 97, in her home, after a brief illness.

     Born to the late Mary Hess and Bryan “Red” Theobald.  On July 14, 1946 she married Kenneth L. Schoenholtz who preceded her in death August 11, 1995.

     Surviving are children Richard (Paula), Judy, Barbara and Kenny Dean (Marcia); grandchildren including, Tracy, Erin, Stevie, Holly and Molly; great grandchildren including, Kayden, Hunter and Gunner; brother, Bryan “Sonny”; several nieces and nephews.  Mary was predeceased by siblings, Richard, Phillip, Charles, Robert, Jack, Howard “Bud,” Katherine “Kate” and Barbara.

     After graduation in 1943, Mary worked for Chillicothe Telephone Company as a switchboard operator.  After raising her family, she started working for Elder Beerman, in 1985, at the age of 60, retiring in 2010 with 25 years of service at the age of 85.  She was the past Worthy Matron of Chillicothe Eastern Star Chapter 419.  She loved to travel and listen to her gospel singing groups.

     Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday, followed by an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m.
