Mary M. Bethel

    Mary M. Bethel, 65, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:08 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center following an extended illness.

     She was born February 18, 1960, in Chillicothe, to the late Eileen Willett Rice.  On May 20, 1978, she married Keith Bethel who survives. 

     Also surviving are a son, Eric Bethel and his son, Gavin; a daughter, Brianna (Evan) Corzine, both of Chillicothe; a sister, Phoebe (Charles) Donahue, of Waverly; a niece, Ivy (Todd) Ludeman, of Chillicothe; a nephew, Jason Park, of Circleville; and many other nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her mother, Eileen Rice; brothers, Bob Walters and Bill, Chuck, Esta “Sonny”, George, James, Arnold and Wayne Annon; sisters,  Debbie Taylor, Esther Campbell, Jane Cottrill, Rose Hill, Helen Estep and Jessica Park Grant.

     Mary retired from Ross County Banking Center and had worked at the former Elder-Beerman.

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with her nephew Jason Park officiating.  Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
