Mattie L Templin

     Mattie Lou Templin, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

     She was born September 7, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Emmitt J. and Dorothy Pugh Loiry. 

      Surviving are a daughter, Wendy (Aaron) Neal, of Groveport; grandsons, Austin and Riley Neal; a granddaughter, Ariel Justus; many friends, including a longtime family friend, Deana Schadle; and many special neighbors.  She was predeceased by husbands, Lawrence Edward Wilhelm and Wendell Templin; a son, Lawrence Dean Wilhelm; a sister, Linda S. Loiry; and an infant sister, Beth Loiry.

     Mattie had worked as a Barmaid at the former Blue Gables Inn on N. Bridge Street and enjoyed talking on the CB Radio where she was known as “Siamese Cat”.  She was a cat lover and helped multiple cat rescue organizations.  Mattie enjoyed being outside doing yard work and gardening.

     A private celebration of her life will be held for family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
