Michael J. Drury, 63, of Tuscumbia, Alabama formerly of Chillicothe, Ohio passed 4:32 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023, unexpectedly following a brief illness.
He was born March 1, 1960 in Ross County to the late Robert J. and Helen “Louise” (Chaney) Drury.
Surviving are sons, Kevin Drury and Adam Drury both of Frankfort, KY; sister, Jodi (Tim) Pierce of Chillicothe; nephew, Isaiah Pierce; life companion, best friend and mother of his sons, Annie Webster; and his beloved dog, Tucker.
Mike retired from Candle-Lite Co. He was a 1978 graduate of Huntington High School. Mike was known for his sense of humor that made people laugh. He was a leader. Mike was the one person you could always rely on to be ready with both knowledge and plans. He loved planning more than doing, and because of this, when he left this world, he left so many unfinished dreams. He left us the plans, will, and means to carry on and fulfill his greatest dreams. Never waste a dream, even if you don’t do it, you might inspire someone else to. Our world lost a pillar but not a dream. Mike will deeply be missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to Ross County Humane Society 2308 Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601 or Colbert County Animal Shelter 5050 Missouri St., Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
