Michael W. Fate

     Michael W. Fate, 65, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed at 6:31 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio following a brief illness.

     He was born March 18, 1961, in Amarillo, TX.  On July 4, 2004, he married the former Cathy Miller who survives. 

     In addition to his wife, surviving are his mother, Barbara Fate, of Columbus; father, David G. Fate, of Arizona; sons, Anthony Fate, of Arizona, Chris Fate, of Lancaster, Richard (Megan) Churchheus, of Portsmouth, Anthony Churchheus, of Lancaster, Casandra Robinson, of Columbus; grandchildren, Lylian Churchheus, Shae’lynn Churchheus, Mason Churchheus, Scarlett Churchheus, Bryson Sherrick, Zander Churchheus, Ricker Churchheus, Karma Fate, Dimetre Fate and Sylias Fate; brothers, William “Bill” Fate, of Columbus and Steven (Ketti) Fate, both of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Vicki Stewart; brothers-in-law, Mike (Sandy) Miller and Brian Miller; and nieces and nephews, Alexis, William, Emily, Matt, Marissa, Taylor, Sadie and Hunter.

     Michael drove a semi and enjoyed restoring antique cars.  He was an avid fisherman, loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed playing his guitar.  Michael will be missed by his family.

     A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
