Nancy L. (Bethel) Harrison

Nancy L.(Bethel) Harrison, 83, of Chillicothe, died 3:35 a.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Adena Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was surrounded by her family. 

She was born February 9,1940, in Chillicothe, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wayne A. and Mary J. (Morgan) Bethel. On September 19, 1971, she married Okey T. Harrison, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl A. (Jason) Gibson, of Chillicothe; a son, Timothy A. Harrison, of Reynoldsburg; a sister, Mary Lou (Harold) Speakman; brothers Arnold Bethel and Roger Bethel; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her infant brother, Wayne Edwin Bethel. 

Nancy was truly devoted to her family. Her children were her greatest treasures and accomplishments. She loved her family deeply. Her strong and willful determination fueled Nancy in her courageous battle against cancer. 

Nancy was a 1958 Huntington High School graduate. Over her lifetime, Nancy worked at various jobs which included General Electric, Avon, and volunteering at Adena Medical Center. Above all, her most cherished job was being a wonderful mother and wife. Nancy will be forever loved and missed. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow at the Huntington Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
