Norma Mason Obituary

Norma Ruth Mason (White) went home to be with the Lord and those whom she missed so dearly on Monday February 23, 2026 after a long and beautiful life.  For 89 years she enjoyed the love of God and family both of which surrounded her even unto her last breath.

Norma was born 11/11 the daughter of Vinard and Anna Mae White.  She had several brothers and sisters who have proceeded her in death: Willard, Lena, Ruby, Harry and Don.  She has one sister Phyllis Montgomery living in Bradenton FL.

She met Russell Mason via introduction from her niece Becky.  They were soon married and shared over 50 years as partners in life.  They ministered in their community and raised four children: Sabrina, William, Maria and Rachel.   She is blessed with four grandsons: Nathan, Anthony, Jonathon and Jared along with two great grandsons Landon and Asher with another on the way.

When her husband passed, it was the relationship with her children that kept her going. She bounced between her children’s homes while maintaining her own house.   She was extremely blessed to have  wonderful neighbors Carol and Rick and lovely friends.

If a life can be measured by hugs, prayers and laughter, then Norma left this earth with immeasurable wealth. She will be remembered for her bold spirit and her simple kindness.  All who lost her will be sharing her memory for generations.

May her life be for a blessing and may all be comforted knowing she is now back with her Russell.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Michael J. Simpson officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
