Norma Scott Obituary

     Norma E. Scott, 82, of Chillicothe, died 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a two-week illness.

     She was born July 9, 1938 in Chillicothe to the late William and Hazel Colburn Lowry. On April 2, 1957 she married Glenn H. Scott who died August 6, 1989.

     Surviving are children, Marie Polen, Norma “Sissy” Wilson, Hazel (Beeman) Strausbaugh, Frankie (Emma) Scott, Glenn W. Scott and Betty Scott and boyfriend Robert Jones, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Lesley (Anthony) Polen, Lisa (John) Wilson, Billie (Greg) Brown, Crystal (Donnie) Seymour, Beeman Strausbaugh II, Chris (Mariah) Strausbaugh, Donnie Cochenour,Jr., Glenn M. Scott and Wendell R. Scott; several great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Kevin Polen; a sister, Peggy Bailey, of Chillicothe; brothers, Charles Lowry and Carl (Vicky) Lowry, all of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews, She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Frost; a grandson, Michael Polen; sisters, Ruth Miller, Virginia Posey, Emma Chaffin, Ada Bowles and Bertha Alexander; brothers, James, William, George, and Ernest Lowry and an infant brother.

     Norma was a retired nursing assistant at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 25 years.

     Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
