Owen Sherrick Obituary

Owen S. Sherrick, 75, of Chillicothe, died 11:06 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 in Grant Medical Center.

He was born December 31, 1946 in Waverly to the late Calvin C. and Alta A. Grow Sherrick.

Surviving are daughters, Sherri Parrish, of Chillicothe and Sue Heft, of Columbus; five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Richard) Wilson, of Chillicothe; a brother, James (Sharon) Sherrick, of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. Owen was predeceased by a sister, Mary Elliott; and brothers, Lloyd and George Sherrick.

Owen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waverly and formerly attended Brookside. He was a retired employee from Chilpaco and was a member of UPIU Local 988, Ross County Shrine Club and Scioto Lodge NO.6 F.& A.M.. Owen served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, April 28, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Hay Hollow Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to time of service on Thursday.
