Patricia Ann Wright

     Patricia Ann Wright, 85, of Chillicothe, died 4:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.

     She was born August 3, 1935, in Greeley, Colorado to the late William and Ellen Dunn Doke.  On November 26, 1957, she married Larry O. Wright who died October 26, 2008.

     Surviving are children, Doug Wright, of Chillicothe, Mike Wright, of Oxford, OH, Sharon (Donna) Wright Boggs, of Chillicothe, Matt (Tonya) Wright, of Chillicothe and Jennifer (Greg) Early, of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Rochelle Harwell, Nick Early, Sydney Early, Zach (fiancée Ciara Smith) Detty and Jennifer (JD) Cooper; great grandchildren, Theodore Cooper, Triniti Carl, Rylee Harwell and Scarlett Harwell; a brother, Bill (Sylvia) Doke, of Wray, CO; a brother-in-law, Ed O’Dell, of Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful beloved companion, her dog, Bella.  She was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn O’Dell and a brother, Frank Doke.

     Pat graduated from Ohio University with a Degree in Elementary Education and also had a degree in X-Ray Technology.  She worked as an X-Ray Technician at the former Pike Community Hospital and had also worked as a Substitute School Teacher.  Pat loved to read books, study history and was an avid bird watcher.  She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.     

     In keeping with her wishes, Pat will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ross County Humane Society 2308 Lick Run Road Suite A Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
