Patricia Ann Kimberling-River

     Patricia Ann Kimberling-River, 75, of Hilliard, passed at 9:28 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024 at her residence unexpectedly.

     She was born November 1, 1949, in Chillicothe, to the late Chester and Anna Louise Holstein Kimberling.  On July 17, 1995, she married Maj. Richard D. River, USAF (Retired) who passed January 4, 2013.

     Surviving are her brother, William C. “Bill” Kimberling, of Chillicothe; many friends and neighbors, including Mark and Michelle Bush, Ronald Hurles, Ron and Kelly Myers, Kaden and Bentlee; and her faithful companion, her little dog, Sabie. 

     Patricia came to Chillicothe, Ohio with her parents in 1953.  She was a 1967 graduate of Chillicothe High School.  Patricia worked for the United States Department of Energy as a Nursing Coordinator, had retired from the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, and had also worked at several nursing homes in the Columbus, Ohio area.  She had a love for animals and would often take in stray dogs and cats to love as her own.

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
