Patricia K. "Trish" Zapata Obituary

     Patricia K. “Trish” Zapata, 63, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 1:00 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.

     She was born December 10, 1957, in Ross County, to the late Joe and Mary Staffan Hardesty.  On May 9, 1987, she married Joe Zapata who survives.

     Also surviving are a daughter, Brandy (Travis Lowe) Zapata, of Los Angeles; a son, Walker Zapata, of Chillicothe; sisters, Carol (Tom) Johnson, of Chillicothe and JoAnn (Martin) Withrow, of Chillicothe; an aunt, Waunita Garlitz, of Chillicothe; a niece, Mamie Withrow, of Chillicothe and Joseph Johnson, of Maryland.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Ed Hardesty and aunts, Risie Hardesty and Odie.

     Trish attended St. Mary’s Church.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children.  Trish loved music, dancing and watching Star Wars and Survivor.

     The family wants to extended a special “thank you” to the staffs of the Adena Cancer Center and Adena Hospice for the wonderful care given to Trish and compassion shown to our family during this time.

     A private graveside service will be held for family.  Burial will be in Schooley’s Chapel Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  Due to COVID, everyone will be required to wear a mask and socially distance.  Air hugs, air kisses and air greeting are appreciated by the family.
