Patsy A. Raines

     Patsy A. Raines, 81, departed this life 5:45 p.m. Saturday, January 8th, 2022 following an extended illness.

     She was born December 13, 1940, in Chillicothe, the sixth of eleven children, to the late Irris Kendall.  On June 26, 1960, she married Robert E. Raines who passed December 19, 2012.  Their love for each other was never ending.

      They were blessed with two children who they are very proud of, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert “Jeff” (Lori) Raines, of Frankfort; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” (Chris “LJ”) Kerns, of Chillicothe; a grandson, who was the joy of her life, Christopher Robert Kerns; siblings, Betty (Richard) Wunder, of Columbus, Robert Mankin, of Chillicothe, Jack Mankin, of Columbus, Carolyn Hatfield, of Chillicothe, Dianne Hewitt, of Chillicothe, Ruth Anne Kendall, of Frankfort and Paul (Sandy) Kendall, of Clarksburg; a special family friend, Charles Icenhower, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Virgil Mankin, Jr., Gale Mankin and Norma Annon.

     Patsy attended Chillicothe High School.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and helping raise her only grandchild.  Patsy was a member of American Legion Post 62’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Ross County Fair Auxiliary. 

     Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Anne M. Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
