Paul E. Ramsey

   Paul E. Ramsey, 94, of Chillicothe passed 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Legacy Health Services.

   He was born February 26, 1929 in Chillicothe to the late Alvin and Blanche Schofield Ramsey.  On June 13, 1948 he married the former Dorothy L. Huff who preceded him in death on April 23, 2005.

   Surviving are children, Michael (Terry) Ramsey and Diana Strawser both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Amy (Henry) Vallette, Lori (Canon) Anderson, Julie Proctor, Jennifer Ramsey and Gregory (Tina) Ramsey; great grandchildren, Josie and Henry III Vallette, Simeon and Libby Anderson, Reid and Abbie Proctor; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by grandson-in-law, Andrew Proctor; sisters, Mildred McKee, Martina Ramsey, Dorothy Stout, Ora Drummond, Esther Conaway and Alice Ramsey; brothers, David and Oran Ramsey.

   Paul was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Trinity United Methodist.  He retired from Chilpaco after 26 years of employment.  Paul was a member of UPIU 988,  SALT, Concern for Handicap, Relay for Life Team and an active member of Glade.

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorial contributions be made to ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation 1058 Columbus St., Chillicothe, OH 45601 or ProMedica Hospice 205 North St. #400, Lucasville, OH 45648.

   Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Wes Souders and Pastor Jim Wade officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday May 21 and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
