Paul T. Thacker

     Paul T. Thacker, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 5:12 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at National Church Residences, Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

     He was born June 20, 1939, in Ross County, to the late Roy and Mae Nokes Thacker.  On July 31, 1960, he married the former Shirley J. Malone who survives.

     In addition to his wife, surviving are children, Pamela (John “Jack”) Partee, of Waverly, Jeffrey (Angela) Thacker, of Chillicothe and Cathy (Greg) Zickafoose, of Richmond, VA; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren with a great great granddaughter due to arrive in March; a brother-in-law, Clifford Claytor, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, James Thacker and Roy Thacker and a sister, Sandra Claytor. 

     Paul was a member and faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church.  He retired from Mead Corporation where he had worked for 41 years and 3 months.  Paul was a member of the Chillicothe Evening Lions Club, Friends of Lucy and U.P.I.U. Local 731. 

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with his son-in-law, Greg Zickafoose officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Family and friends may visit at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
