Ralph E. Morton, 92, of Chillicothe, died 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 in National Church Residence following an extended illness.
He was born July 9, 1929, in Richmond Dale, to the late Finley, Sr. and Cornelia Wood Morton. On August 15, 1953, he married the former Charlotte Biggs, who died July 9, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Steven (Lynn) Morton, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Matt (Jessica) Morton, Kell (Shelly) Morton, Whitney (Steve) Cook, Kate (Caleb) Wright, Tyler (Lacey) Hinty, Jeremy (Victoria) Sawyer, Ashley Coombs, and Matt (Danielle) Baugh; a sister, Helen Thompson, of Clinton, IA; a brother, Marvin Morton, of Amory, MS; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Baugh; a son, Kenneth Morton; a brother, Finley Morton, Jr.; and sisters, Lavetta Border and Donna Mae Russell.
Ralph retired from the U.S. Postal service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After retirement Ralph and Charlotte traveled extensively and visited all 48 states. He enjoyed the Thursday afternoon Euchre Group at the Ross County Senior Citizen Center and the Good Sam’s RV Club.

Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022. There will be no funeral service.
