Richard D. Cochenour, 70, of Chillicothe died 7:25 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.

He was born April 25, 1951 in Richmond Dale to the late Richard and Ethel J. (Fout) Cochenour. On September 6, 1999 he married the former Nina R. Reisinger who survives.

Also surviving are children, Mindy (Tim) Manion, Richard "Dale" Cochenour, Nedra (Scott Lowe) Blanton, and Chad E. (Amber) Blanton, all of Chillicothe, and Gena (James Waldrup) Brown, Of New Holland; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 1 arriving in September; sisters, Janice (John) Stanley, Kathy (Ed) Sheese, Beverly (Bob) Montgomery, Marlene (Larry) Shaw, and Darlene Williams, and former wife, Sally Stevens. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Ricky.

Richard retired form CSX Railroad and loved his auction family and friends.

The family would like to thank his special brother Matthew (Deb) Hatfield and Allen's Pharmacy for always being there.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends my call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday
