Richard Woods

Richard Woods, 63, of Chillicothe, completed his race on July 29, 2025, that he started August 19, 2001 the day he was born again, at his residence while surrounded by his family.

     He was born July 14, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Carl and Patricia Worthen Woods.  Richard met the love of his life, the former Julie Bethel, in September of 1980.  They were married December 13, 1986 and they walked through 45 years of their lives together.   

     Also surviving are a son, Richard (Sherri) Woods, Jr. and Jacob (Whitney) Woods, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Beckett Woods and Piper Woods; a brother, Rodney (Shirley) Woods, of Chillicothe; and brothers-in-law, Jason (Janie) Bethel, of Chillicothe and Doug (Melissa) Bethel, of Tennessee, who all loved him deeply. 

     Richard was a 1982 graduate of Huntington High School.  He retired from FlowMasters in September 2023.  Richard was a great witness for the Lord to everyone that he had met.      

     Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brett Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ware’s to help the family.
