Richard A. Johnson

     Richard A. Johnson, 56, of Chillicothe, passed at 5:24 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at his residence following a brief illness.

     He was born December 4, 1967, in Chillicothe, to the late Herschel and Rebecca (Beverly) Johnson.  On October 23, 2023, he married the former Rietta M. Dunn who survives.

     In addition to his wife, surviving are children, Richard A. Johnson II, of Chillicothe, Oshay Johnson and companion Nakia Colvin, both of Chillicothe, Jamie Pearce, of Washington and Nicolette and Jacob, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Richard III and Amya Johnson, Oshay Johnson II, Nykiah, Jacob Jr. and Kyle Tyler and Cortlynn Reynolds; a brother, Elliott Patterson, of Chillicothe; sisters, Beverly Johnson, of Chillicothe and Patricia Johnson, of Columbus; and special friends, Trenton Hambrick and Tammy Tyler, both of Chillicothe.  He was predeceased by a brother, James Johnson I. 

     Visitation for family and friends will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday September 18, 2024.  There will be no funeral services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
