Richard L. "Dick" Miller Obituary

     Richard L. “Dick” Miller, 80, of Chillicothe, went to be with his Savior at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Brown Memorial Home, Circleville following a brief illness.

     He was born March 24, 1940, in Chillicothe, to the late Harold L. and Marie Wainscott Miller.  On May 13, 1962, he married the former Joyce J. Sibrell who survives.

     Also surviving are a daughter, Kellie (Chris) Graves, of Chillicothe; a son, Chad (Christina) Miller, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Morgan (Michael McClaskey) Graves, Alec Graves, Andrew Graves, Abigail Alcorn and Callie Miller; great grandchildren, Gianna Marnell and Layla McClaskey; and a sister, Eileen (Charles) Rowland, of Lewis Center.

     Dick served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era.  He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and Usher.  Dick retired from Chilpaco where he was a member of U.P.I.U Local 988.  He also worked at Adena Regional Medical Center as a Valet.  Dick was an avid bowler on The Senior League.  He was a Captain for Scioto Township Fire Department and was an Advanced EMT.  Above all, Dick loved his family.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Brown officiating.  Social distancing will be observed and masks will be mandatory.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.    

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 221 E. Main Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601; Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road – Second Floor, Princeton, NJ 08450; or to the Arthritis Foundation,1355 Peachtree Street Suite 600, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
