Richard C. “Rich” Halfhill, 68, of Londonderry, passed at 9:16 a.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his residence unexpectedly.
He was born October 3, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Dick and Marilyn Hover Halfhill. On November 1, 1974, he married the former Monnie “Marline” Hill who survives.
Also surviving are his daughters, Rachel (Dustin) Holzbacher, Stephanie Halfhill and Autumn (Tom) Lemaster; grandchildren, Reagan Holzbacher, Jacksen Pillar, Mila Pillar, Westen Lemaster, and Ella Lemaster; a brother, Donald (Robin) Halfhill; nieces, April (Jeff) Conley and Toni Fusco; and a close friend, Jeremy Daniels. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Leah Dawn.
Rich was baptized and was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness for 42 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Richard loved being outdoors, especially the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He was a social butterfly and made friends wherever he went. Rich was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 137 University Drive in Chillicothe, Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
