Robert L. Dearth

Robert L. Dearth, 81, of Chillicothe passed 5:08 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born October 16, 1943 in Chillicothe to the late Robert W. and Anna E. Strawser Dearth.  On September 1, 1995 he married Tina McCray who survives.

Also surviving are children, Ruby (Josh) Smart and Laura (Jon) Journey; son-in-law, Henry Wytko; grandchildren, Johna, Kieriana, Annalyn, Emersyn, Tayson and Ryan; great grandchildren, Maryauna, Isaiah and Adaline; brothers, Bud Dearth, Gary (Mary) Dearth, Jim (Madona) Dearth and Rick (Brenda) DeMint; sisters, Jane (Brian) McGarvey Brenda Eblin and Linda Kocher; several nieces and nephews; special sisters-in-law, Kim and Alida.  He was predeceased by sons, Randy Sanders and Bobby Dearth; grandson, Robby Dearth; brother, John Dearth; sisters, Judy Dearth and Pat Zarobinski.

Robert served his country in the Army and was a member of the 101st Airbourne ParaTrooper.  He was a retired car salesman and a member of the Amvets Post 4. He leaves behind two special dogs, Mike and Ziva.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jim McCray officiating.  Military rites will be given by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
